My research these days involves classifying Iwasawa modules up to isomorphism, as well as computing the Iwasawa adjoint involution by purely algebraic means. Iwasawa modules, or modules over p-adic power series rings, arise naturally from certain infinite towers of number fields or elliptic curves.
