I have been blessed to be surrounded by a supportive family and a
select group of
people whom I proudly call friends.
Baseball:
According to the NY Times, I'm among the 6 percent of New Yorkers that
consider themselves
fans
of both the Yankees and Mets.
I learned baseball watching the Mets win the 1986 World Series.
Eventually I lost interest in
baseball, and now that I've become a fan as an adult, it has been the
Yankees franchise which
I have come to admire and support fervently. I like the Mets
because they are a team of "the people".
I like the Yankees because they represent greatness and tradition,
which is what New York is about.
I don't know how you can't be a fan of the Yankees, you're either a
winner or you are not.
